The big lineup. Before school, all of the teachers stand in the playground area holding signs with their names on them. Students arrive and look for the right sign and get in line. This is the part where mom and dad cry as everyone makes their way inside.

The end of the summer always means one thing: the beginning of the school year. While most of you students probably just groaned, deep down inside you know that the first day of school is one of the most exciting days of the year. Who’s in your class? How’s your teacher? Did you see what little Suzy was wearing? Have you seen little Johnny’s new braces? Everything is exciting and new, and that’s why we wanted to be a part of it this year. We stopped by the Christa McAuliffe School last week to check out the first day of school. It really brought us back to those simpler times.
