Singers are invited to Concord Chorale’s open sing on Sept. 7 at 7:15 p.m.
The Concord Chorale is thrilled to accept new members each season. Twice yearly, the chorale holds open sings, when prospective members are invited to come to a rehearsal, meet the chorale members and music director, and sing through the semester’s music.
If a singer is interested in auditioning after attending the open sing, he or she can sign up for an audition with the music director prior to the next week’s rehearsal. The audition itself is based on the singer’s ability to prepare an assigned excerpt of music, vocalization and general musicianship. The chorale welcomes singers of all ages, from all walks of life.
Rehearsal is in the Concord High School band room, 170 Warren St. Enter through the Fruit Street double doors nearest the corner of Pleasant Street, across from the gas station.
The Concord Chorale is a mixed, auditioned ensemble more than 80 voices strong. Members hail from northern Massachusetts to northern New Hampshire, and the group gathers once a week during the fall, winter and spring for rehearsals.
