Info night fornext Players show
There will be an information night for the Community Players of Concord’s next performance Once on this Island on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the Players Studio, 435 Josiah Bartlett Road.
Come meet the creative team and learn about the show and the upcoming auditions! Light refreshments will be served.
On Aug. 28 and 30 at 6:30 p.m., there will be open auditions for Once on this Island. Casting will be for 12-28, adults and older teens (14-plus), as well as 1-2 girls who appear to be 6-10 years old and a boy who appears to be 6-10 years old.
This is an ensemble show of storytellers – while there are some featured roles, everyone will be onstage most of the show and be in most of the songs and dances. There will be a lot of creative movement and dance opportunities due to the nature of it being a sung through musical and the storytelling theatre style we are using to create the show.
Auditioners should prepare a complete musical theatre song (but not one from the show) that demonstrates both singing ability and ability to convey character through song. Bring sheet music; an accompanist will be provided. There will also be a dance audition so be prepared to learn a combination and dress appropriately for movement.
If you want to come but can’t make the 6:30 p.m. call, please contact Mindy at 369-7632 or Judi at 455-5156.
