Intown Concord invites artists and performers to participate in the first Discover Downtown Art Walk on Aug. 19-20 along North and South Main Street.
The art walk is in conjunction with Intown Concord’s 2nd annual Discover Downtown Summer Sidewalk Sale promotion.
The invitation to apply is open to visual and performing artists who would like to share, show, demonstrate or promote their art on Main Street. Participation is by invitation only. There is no charge to participate and artists will not be paid to participate.
Who should sign up? We welcome all artists, entertainers, vocal and instrumental musicians of all kinds (non-amplified), magicians, sketchers and painters, dancers, actors/street theater, mimes, puppets, storytellers, caricature artists, jugglers, acrobats and other circus-type entertainers, and on and on! If you can imagine “busking” in downtown Concord, the art walk is probably a suitable place for you!
We encourage all artists to use this time and venue to promote their shows, performances, bands, websites, galleries, etc. Please note that the art walk is not an art fair or festival, and tents will not be permitted.
The art walk is from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on both days. Artists are not committing to two days and can choose which day and time.
