t was all sunshine, smiles and splashing at White Park last week during the Teddy Bear Picnic. This event was not what you might be picturing: a bunch of teddy bears sitting around a teddy bear-sized table eating teddy bear food – although that would have been a sight. Instead, it was a bunch of 3- to 6-year-olds cooling off and having a good time at the pool, which was still a sight to see. Kari Inglis, who is in charge of the city’s pools, was there leading the group in activities like the Hokey Pokey, swimming, splashing (mostly splashing), games and a snack. The snack is where both the teddy bear and the picnic came into play. The meal offering? Teddy Grahams.
Hey, Parks and Rec, how about an adult version of this some time soon?
