So we’ve already told you pretty much all there is to know about ice cream in Concord, but some of you might be sitting there thinking, “Well what about frozen yogurt fans? Any love for us?”
Of course there is.
We know full well that fro-yo is all the rage these days, and Concord has two shops specializing in the treat. Therefore, we checked out what each had to offer so we could pass the tasty finds on to you.
Orange Leaf
When it’s hot out, Orange Leaf is always a pretty hot spot on North Main Street. The fro-yo shop is known for being self-serve – you grab a bowl, dispense whatever frozen yogurt you want and then add toppings.
Orange Leaf has 16 flavors available at a time, including two dairy-free options and a sugar-free option or two – and more than 34 toppings. The flavors and toppings are always changing.
The shop recently abandoned its pay-by-weight approach in favor of three set prices: $3.25 for a beginner, $5.25 for an intermediate and $6.75 for advanced. “It takes the guessing out of it,” said Erika Lessard, marketing and events coordinator.
Orange Leaf, 70 N. Main St., is open from noon to 9 p.m. daily. Go to orangeleafyogurt.com for more info.
Tutti Frutti
Tutti Frutti is another self-serve fro-yo shop. It’s inside the Steeplegate Mall, so you can enjoy a cool treat while you’re doing your shopping.
Tutti Frutti, which uses the pay-by-weight strategy, has 10 flavors out at once, and they’re always changing. There’s always a dairy-free option, a gluten-free option and a no-sugar-added option. Factor in the 70 different toppings and sauces and you have endless possibilities.
You can also get a smoothie, slushy or tea.
Tutti Frutti is open during mall hours (10 a.m. to 9 p.m.). Go to tfyogurt.com for more info.
