It sure is fun to see what you can find at yard sales.
And it just so happens that yard sale season is upon us. Sure there have been some here and there over the last month or so, but starting this weekend and extending through the summer months, chances are you won’t be able to pass a telephone or intersection without seeing a handmade sign pointing you to an address where people will be sitting in their yard or driveway trying to sell you their old stuff for cold hard cash.
You know what they say ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.’ So if you’re in the market some new stuff that’s old, why not make your way around town to see what you can find. It is a three-day weekend after all.
Now we don’t claim to know everything about yard sales in the area, but the Monitor yard sales page sure has a lot of great info.
That’s where we found out that the Canterbury Meadows Condominium Association on Northeast Village Street is having a community yard sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There’s also a moving sale at 12 Little Pond Road, on Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
You can also check out 8 Madison St. on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., as well as 30 Primrose Lane in Penacook – both Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
But for more, check out classifieds.concordmonitor.com/concord/yard-sales/search and you’ll find a bunch of ones coming up this holiday weekend. Or you can just drive around looking for neon signs – whatever works best for you.
