Amid all the hooplah surrounding the Cappies, you may have forgotten one big important event going on in Concord this week: The Rock ‘N Race.
That’s right, the annual musical road race is Thursday starting at 6 p.m., and you don’t want to miss it.
Online registration has closed, but you can print a form at goo.gl/6sQCAV that you can then bring to the Bektash Temple (189 Pembroke Road) on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. or to the State House plaza the day of the race from noon to 5:30 p.m. We know some of you will take every allotted minute, but the sooner you take care of this business, the sooner you can get walkin’ – and rockin’.
There will be 11 bands and one solo performer playing along the course, which starts on North State Street and finishes on Park Street. Much of the route will be closed to traffic from 4 to 8:30 p.m., so as not to have runners and walkers run over by vehicles.
