Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines.
The Bow Rotary 2016 Car Show is coming right up – Saturday, to be exact, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 508 South St., Bow (The Fields at Concord Group) – and there’s a lot you need to know.
The annual show features all years of cars and motorcycles – pretty much anything with wheels, an engine and a license plate.
Because of the wide universe of vehicles, there are 16 separate classes:
A – Up to 1930s
B – 1940s
C – 1950s
D – 1960s
E – 1970s
F – 1980s
G – 1990s and later
H – Camaro
I – Corvette
J – Foreign
K – Mopars
L – Mustangs
M – Rod & Custom (pre-1949)
N – Survivor (mostly original)
O – Trucks
P – Motorcycles
There will be a winner from each class, plus prizes for People’s Choice and Best in Show.
The first 100 vehicles registered will receive a goodie bag and dash plaque, and all registrants will be entered to win 30 different raffle prizes. Not a bad deal.
To register your car, go to bowrotarycarshow.com. There’s a registration fee of $20.
If you don’t have a sweet ride to enter, you can still go to look around and imagine yourself driving one – that’s what we’d do. That’ll only cost you $3, and people under 12 and over 70 get in free. All proceeds benefit Bow Rotary’s community support programs.
There’s also free kids’ activities, a Red Sox tickets raffle, breakfast, lunch and music.
