Even though last week was a pretty wild (terrible) one in terms of weather, it is mid-April now, and we know the bitter cold, tree-snapping wind and depressing snow can’t last too much longer.
Even if you (smartly) haven’t put away the snow boots and long johns just yet, you’ve probably started pulling some of the spring gear out of hibernation.
In doing so, you may have realized that you’re sick of all the same old shirts, dresses and shorts you’ve been rocking for the past three years now. Maybe it’s time to restock the ol’ wardrobe for spring?
But replacing your entire wardrobe? That sounds expensive.
Not at the Insider.
We’re what some might call “frugal” around here, so we’re not about to go hit up Barneys or Gucci. We’re more of the thrift-shop kinds of guys (what did you expect?).
We went around to some of Concord’s finest resale establishments to see what kind of spring threads we could find. We would have gone to all of the shops, but there’s only so much time and space.
It turns out, there was a lot more spring stuff on the racks and shelves than we imagined.
We found skirts and shirts, skorts and jorts, cleats and pleats. And those are just the things that rhyme!
There were also hats, windbreakers, flip-flops, clogs, slip-ons (remember those?) and more.
Here’s a little sampling from our journey:
