You know us, we never pass up the opportunity to try something new.
So when we heard the library was hosting a Peeps diorama contest, we had to be a part of it. Well, we at least had to build a diorama for ourselves to help decorate the office, especially after blowing up the gingerbread house with a cannon.
And since the library wanted to see a recreated scene from your favorite movie or book, we had to use the cannon shoot. It is, after all, the best video we’ve seen in a very long time – if we do say so ourselves. It also includes us as the main characters, which can only help add to our list of fans.
Manned with yellow peeps to represent us, along with Monitor photographer Geoff Forester, who documented the action in picture form, and a sweet Lego cannon courtesy of our little buddy Conor Fitzgerald, it was not hard to pull it off. We cut up some construction paper we found in a random drawer in the office to set the scene and, we must say, it came out much better than we anticipated. Just check out that cloud, sun and sweet parking lot setup! You could probably live in that little world – if it wasn’t the size of a shoe box.
Now, we didn’t officially enter our diorama because it’s not from an actual movie or book and we wanted to keep it. Although we’re pretty sure it would have won a prize or ribbon.
But we did check out what everyone decided to create and the “competition” will appear in next week’s Insider. For now, though, enjoy what took us an entire day of work to build. We know, it’s pretty awesome.
