Check for water leaks and win a new toilet

As a promotional partner for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency WaterSense Program, Concord General Services is celebrating Fix A Leak Week (March 16-22) with a “Royal Leak Detection” to help encourage Concord water consumers to find and fix leaks.
A leaky faucet, showerhead, toilet or irrigation system may not seem that harmful, but an average household can account for 10,000 gallons of water wasted each year through minor water leaks such as these. Nationwide, that can add up to 1 trillion gallons of water wasted annually. Common leaks are easily correctable. Fixing leaks can reduce water consumption and potentially save money on water bills.

Concord residents and merchants can enter to win a new WaterSense labeled toilet by sharing a picture with Concord General Services of their leak detection efforts. Leak detection efforts can include: a water meter reading, performing the food coloring/dye tablet test, fixture tightening and fixture replacing.

Visit concordnh.gov/leaks for more information and instructions on how to perform these tasks to find a leak. Pictures can be shared on Concord General Services’ Facebook or Twitter pages with #IFixLeaks, sent to their email at generalservices@concordnh.gov, delivered to their office at 311 N. State St. or mailed in with c/o “Royal Leak Detection.” All entries must be received by March 20, 2015. Even if you don’t find a leak, you are still entered to win with your leak detection photo submission.
Everyone who participates in Concord General Services’ Royal Leak Detection wins by helping to save Concord water and potentially money on their water bill.

See official rules for more information and visit concordnh.gov/watersense to learn more about WaterSense and how you can help to reduce water consumption.
