Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association is seeking volunteers to offer companionship and support to hospice patients in local nursing care facilities and in homes.
The next training session is being held on Thursdays, Feb. 19 to March 19, from 9 a.m. to noon at Concord Regional VNA, 30 Pillsbury St. in Concord.
Hospice volunteers assist with: Offering companionship; Holding a hand and lending a listening ear; Providing respite care for a family caregiver; Giving Reiki or massage; Providing administrative support; And veteran to veteran support.
