Weekend warriors’ running injuries, a nagging sore back and chronically achy knees are all very common complaints that, surprisingly, can be caused by hip dysfunction. Sitting all day at work can also lead to pain and decreased mobility.
Get Fit NH Concord is offering a six-week series designed to restore proper function and train the hips to work properly. Students will learn a progressive method of restoring hip function, including bioenergetics (proper breathing), core stability and control, mobility, flexibility and active self-myofascial release.
Erin Constantin, certified Functional Movement Systems specialist and creator of the program says, “The importance of hip flexibility to our overall health cannot be overstated. It doesn’t just affect athletic performance. Joint health is critical to aging well, and keeping a high level of function for our entire life.”
The six-week series is open to the public and kicks off Wednesday Feb. 4 at Get Fit NH in Concord. For more information, call 344-2651 or go to getfitnh.com for enrollment and pricing.
