N.H. Audubon is proud to announce it has received a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, an independent national service that evaluates charities based on their financial health, accountability and transparency. This rating places N.H. Audubon in the list of top performing environmental and conservation organizations in the country.
“This rating means that donors and people who care about wildlife and the environment in New Hampshire can feel confident entrusting funds to us,” said N.H. Audubon President Michael J. Bartlett,. “A four-star rating from Charity Navigator validates that we are doing an outstanding job with our programs and meeting our mission.”
Charity Navigator examines a combination of metrics, including the percentage of overall budget spent on programs and services, accountability measures, donor privacy policies and audited financials. Those findings reflect the fact that, not only is N.H. Audubon doing an excellent job serving its constituents through educational programming, it is also deeply connected to the inpidual donors who make many of the programs possible.
The rating comes after an exceptional Centennial celebration year for N.H. Audubon. Bartlett and the leadership team at N.H. Audubon credit a committed staff, volunteers, donors and community support for the prestigious four-star rating.
