Chamber to host series of accounting seminars

The Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and Mason + Rich Professional Association are pleased to announce the new Accounting Breakfast Seminars, a series of programs targeted toward businesses without experienced full time accounting staff. The topics will cover tips on better informational reports and reduced tax preparation fees, preparing for the new fiscal year and tips on how to manage daily ongoing accounting, and nonprofit year-end audit preparation.

Dec. 12, 9 a.m. to noon: Accounting Breakfast Seminar: Year-end wrap up for Businesses. Stop dreading the year end call from your CPA. These easy to perform tasks will help to make your year-end process less stressful, more timely and perhaps even beneficial.

Jan. 23, 9 a.m. to noon: Accounting Breakfast Seminar: New Year’s Resolutions for Businesses. If this is the year you resolved to improve your financial reporting system, join us for some tips on how to make your accounting system work for you.

May 8, 9 a.m. to noon: Accounting Breakfast Seminar: Know How for Nonprofits. Let’s face it. Non-profits are a special breed. And as such, they have special accounting needs. Join us for an explanation of those differences and learn some best practices in nonprofit accounting.

The Accounting Breakfast Seminars are a partnership between the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce and the accounting firm Mason + Rich Professional Association on accounting topics relevant to small business owners, business and non-profit bookkeepers. Seminars will be held at the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce for $20 per seminar, or $50 for the series. Coffee and pastries are provided.
