McGowan Fine Art is currently home to Susan Abbott’s “Back Roads and By Ways: New Landscapes.” The exhibit runs through Nov. 14 and shows Abbott’s attraction to small towns, dirt roads, village greens, barn yards and back fields. Both mood and meaning in Abbott’s oil work – images of old houses, old farms, old towns and old trucks – have to do with age and time. And if you like what you see here, there’s plenty more on display.
