During September and October, the McLane Audubon Center will host a photography exhibit by Canterbury native Kathie Fife.
Fife presents a series of panoramic images of protected landscapes with a focus on N.H. Audubon properties. Stunning photographs feature loons, rare plants and native wildflowers.
An artist reception on Thursday, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., will allow visitors to meet the artist and talk with her about her inspirations and artistic process. Complimentary bookmarks showing a panoramic image of Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge will be given to those who attend the reception.
Fife has spent her life exploring and observing the natural world. She earned a degree in horticulture and environmental conservation with a minor in wildlife behavior from UNH. She has worked for a variety of environmentally focused nonprofits and state and federal agencies.
Combining her love of photography with her commitment to environmental protection she launched an environmentally sustainable greeting card business. The cards are made in N.H. using 100 percent recycled FSC paper, manufactured using wind and water power, and are processed chlorine free.
Fife’s award winning images have been published in feature stories including New Hampshire Magazine, N.H. State Visitor’s Guide, The Weirs Times, The Nashua Telegraph, among many others.

As with all art exhibits at the McLane Center, a portion of sales goes to support N.H. Audubon’s mission.
