National Night Out at Rollins Park Tuesday

National Night Out rolls out each year across the nation with a goal of promoting cooperation between the local police and the community. Concord’s popular event will be Tuesday, Aug. 5, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at Rollins Park. National Night Out attendees of all ages can participate in Touch-A-Truck offerings, with representation from the area police, fire, construction and military organizations. There will be a zoo exhibit, inflatable bouncy slide, more than 35 informational displays, fire safety, K-9 demonstrations, bicycle safety, rock climbing walls, dancing on the grass with DJ Nazzy, and lots of activities and contests.

A bounty of food offerings will be available, with each item priced at just $1. Enjoy pizza, hot dogs, snow cones, cotton candy, fried dough, ice cream, lemonade and more.

Throughout the evening, the Annual Badge Ball Tournament will offer lively entertainment, as teams from public safety, local businesses, and organizations go head-to-head on the dodge ball court. Badge Ball proceeds help support the Merrimack County Child Advocacy Center. Free shuttle service sponsored by Havenwood Heritage Heights will once again be available from the parking lot at 2 Pillsbury St.
