The Pembroke and Allenstown Old Home Day will be held Aug. 23.
This year’s theme is “Heroes and Villains.” The day begins at 9 a.m. with musical entertainment in downtown Suncook by the Amoskeag Strummers. At 10 a.m., a parade with marching bands and floats starts in Allenstown and follows Main Street to Memorial Field in Pembroke.
All day free activities include live musical entertainment on two stages, hay rides, arts and crafts, a 9-hole mini-golf course, children’s games, a large inflatable slide and bouncy house, balloon artists, face painting, Doodlebugs Tractor Pull, antique cars on display, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, multiple food booths, and a raffle.
The day will end with fireworks at dusk sponsored by Associated Grocers of New England.
