The New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs (NHFGC) will hold a Standard Flower Show entitled “Out of this World” on Friday, June 20 and Saturday, June 21 at the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, 2 Institute Drive.
NHFGC members, some of the best floral designers in the state and many award winners as well, will come together to present a celebration of flowers showcasing their expertise and creativity. Coupled with an extravaganza of horticulture specimens on display including, but certainly not limited to, an invitational exhibit by the NH Orchid Society, NHFGC’s 2014 flower show will intrigue, delight and educate all who avail themselves of the opportunity. Each design and horticulture class will be themed based on Discovery Center subject matter , i.e., “Lost in Space,” “Super Nova” and “Rocket Launch” just to name a few.
Special exhibits to educate and inform the public will also be on display.
The flower show will be open to the general public on Friday, June 20 from 1 to 5 p.m. and on Saturday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with paid admission to the Discovery Center. Parking is free.
