Even the front entrance will make you want to adopt a pet because once you take a step inside the door, the cuddly little kittens will be immediately to your right. We dare you not to bring one home.
Like us, dogs like to get outside and run around. This brand-spanking-new fenced-in area will allow for some much needed exercise and tanning time for our four-legged friends. No word on whether the cats, rats and gerbils will be allowed to stretch their legs. Our guess is not a chance, but you never know.
In case you missed it, the SPCA has a new home on Silk Farm Road after completing a $2.9 million fundraising campaign. So now, cute little kitties like Lilly have a brand new place to live until they get adopted by some nice person, who could just be you.
After years of not having the necessary equipment, the SPCA’s new home will make life a lot easier for its medical team. Now that’s what we like to call shiny and practical. “We used to do medical procedures on the kitchen table,” said Cheryl Kimball, director of development and communications at the SPCA. “So this is an extremely important piece for us. This allows us to do the work an animal shelter needs to do.”
The new dog areas allow for roaming and the chance to make new friends. Aren’t these two pups just so cute.
The kitty cats at the Pope Memorial SPCA must feel like they moved from the outhouse to the penthouse with their new living quarters, which include multiple shelves for sleeping and eating, as well as a special secret compartment where they can do their business in private.
