Of all the professions in the world, one of the most thankless may just be the job of motherhood. Fortunately, Mothers Day is just around the corner, giving us the opportunity to show our mums a little motherly love and thank them for all the hard work they do.
In honor of mothers throughout the area, the Concord Food Co-op has a little extra Mothers Day challenge for you: Enter your mom to win the co-op’s Super Mom Contest!
This year, the co-op doesn’t just want to know why your mom rocks.
“It’s important for moms to know that we’ve been paying attention to all the love they give all along,” explains co-op Marketing Manager Greg Lessard. “That’s why this year we decided to ask children to send in a Memorable Moment for the Super Mom Contest.”
To enter the contest, send in a story about a Memorable Moment and include a photograph or drawing. All ages are welcome to enter.
The contest is free and open to the public. Children should have the assistance of an adult to mail the entry in. The deadline to enter is May 5. Email your contest entry to marketing@concordfoodcoop.coop or mail it to: Concord Food Co-op, Attn: Super Mom Contest, 24 S. Main St. Concord, NH 03301.
“We can’t wait to see all the great stories about our local moms! I know they’ll make us smile,” says Paula Harris, general manager at the co-op.
The co-op will announce the winner shortly before Mothers Day. Find entry highlights on the co-op’s email list, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook and blog.
The first-prize winner will receive a special Health & Beauty Spa gift basket with a variety of all-natural body care products. The second-prize winner will receive a Breakfast in Bed gift basket with goodies to make mom a delicious breakfast. Both gift baskets will include three gift certificates to local shops that will make your mom’s Mothers Day perfect: $50 for Lilise Designer Resale and Home Décor, $25 for Capital Romance Jewelers and $25 for Viking House.
