For millions of middle-class families across our country the reality of falling from the middle-class into one of poverty has become more and more of a reality.
Families that once had working, thriving parents are facing some of life’s greatest challenges to support their families. Emmy-award winning filmmakers Joe and Harry Gantz have created an intimate snapshot of the state of the nation’s economy as it plays out in the lives of families like those right here in Merrimack County.
“American Winter” is a powerful film that debuted on HBO in March 2013.
Granite United Way and Red River Theatres are collaborating to bring this important and critical documentary to Merrimack County.
The film will be screened at the Red River Theatres at 11 S. Main St. on April 30.
A reception will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. and the screening will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
A panel will be presenting following the film’s screening.
