Be the high bidder at the 15th Annual Friends Charity Auction where dozens of artistic masterworks and distinctive specialty items will be sold at this important fundraiser. Even if you’re not holding your bid card high at the closing gavel, the real winners are the Concord-area kids who participate in the Friends Youth Mentoring Program.
The May 2 fundraiser will take place at the Grappone Conference Center.
Doors open at 5 p.m. The 7:30 p.m. live auction will be preceded by a buffet dinner, silent auction and cash bar. Event registration is $65. Seats may be reserved by calling 228-1193 or by visiting friendsprogram.org/events/15th-annual-auction.
Online, you’ll also find a growing list of donated auction items such as spa visits, the opportunity to have a renowned chef prepare dinner for you in your own home, and seemingly everything in between.
On Friday, an Auction Preview & Artists’ Reception will take place at Merrimack County Savings Bank. This free preview two weeks before the auction will feature light refreshments and begins at 6 p.m.
This year’s proceeds will benefit Friends Youth Mentoring. The program matches a trained volunteer with Concord-area youth referred by schools, government agencies, and human service nonprofits. Last year, Friends Program mentors provided over 13,000 hours of support, guidance, and encouragement to 150 young people in the community.
