The League of N.H. Craftsmen is pleased to host a special talk and book signing in conjunction with Gibson’s Bookstore on Thursday, April 17 at 5:30 p.m. in The Craft Center at the League of N.H. Craftsmen Headquarters on 49 S. Main St.
Peter Korn, a furniture maker whose work has been exhibited nationally in galleries and museums, is the author of Why We Make Things and Why It Matters: The Education of a Craftsman. He will be talking about the nature and rewards of creative work, and how the practice of contemporary craft is transformational to the inpidual and society. Korn is the founder and executive director of the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, Maine and has written several “how to” books including Woodworking Basics.
