On Feb. 3, the Center for Educational Excellence at NHTI will host a free screening of Dan Habib’s film, Who Cares About Kelsey?, the story of Kelsey’s transformation from a defiant and disruptive “problem student” in a school with one of the highest dropout rates in New Hampshire to a motivated and self-confident young woman.
Along the way, critical figures in her personal and educational life shape her coming of age and play important roles in an education revolution that’s about empowering – not overpowering – youth with emotional and behavioral challenges.
The film will be shown in NHTI’s Sweeney Auditorium from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a panel discussion. The event is free and open to the public.
