Citing what we’ve determined to be irrefutable logic, Sandy Dallaire of Concord sent us these pictures of her 18-month-old grandson, Dyson, on his way to the store with his parents, David and Jenna Dallaire, in Boulder, Colo., because they were “too precious not to share.”
For the record, we feel the same away about cupcakes, in case you’ve got any.
David grew up in Concord and graduated from Concord High School in 1993 before embarking on a journey that led him to Colorado to pursue his passion for biking and skiing, which aren’t year-round activities in these parts. David briefly tried to bike to work while living in Massachusetts, but, as Sandy mentioned, “that’s taking your life into your hands.”
It was in Colorado that he met “the love of his life,” according to Sandy, his wife, Jenna. And then along came Dyson. So, of course, along came Sandy and her husband, as many times as possible.
“You better believe we go out there,” she said.
After several pleas to David to move back home, Sandy spent a Thanksgiving with him out there in 1999 and left convinced she wasn’t going to make any headway.
“I went out there on my own for Thanksgiving, and had to accept that it was beautiful,” Sandy said.
David isn’t the only offspring to fly the coop – Sandy and her husband have a daughter in Warwick, N.Y. (with three more grandsons between 5 and 13) and West Hartord, N.Y., and they stay in close touch with all of them.
And then nap.
“We are in contact with our three children all the time,” Sandy said, “but we’re exhausted.”
