Co-op to offer Eat Well, Be Well Cooking Series

Now that the “holidaze” have come to an end, you may be feeling a little foggy and frumpy after the umpteenth cookie, cuppa eggnog and celebratory toast.

New Year’s resolutions offer the perfect way to refocus on yourself, your health, and cleaning up the kitchen. No one knows this better than the Concord Co-op, which is launching its fifth annual healthy cooking series on Jan. 13.

The Co-op’s Eat Well, Be Well Healthy Cooking Series will focus on foods that help you feel better, live longer and fight disease.

The Eat Well, Be Well Series offers live cooking demos with the Co-op’s award-winning Celery Stick Café and Bakery Box chefs, samples of delicious and healthy meals prepared by the Co-op’s Café and nutrition talks by herbalist Maria Noël Groves and registered dietitian Traci Komorek.

Topics include healthy budget-friendly basics and foods that boost brain power and mood, fight inflammation and cancer, support heart and blood sugar health, and more.

All participants will also receive their own hardcover “The Longevity Kitchen” cookbook, a $30 value, from which the class recipes will be chosen. The five classes, samples, and cookbook are included in just a $35 registration ($30 for Co-op members).

This Co-op series will be held in the largest ballroom at the Holiday Inn downtown, which allows plenty of space while still having an intimate atmosphere and time for questions and answers.

Registration with prepayment is required and is available online at concordfoodcoop.coop/classes.
