Tonight at 7 in the Library Living Room, NHTI’s Wings of Knowledge lecture series presents award-winning author Brunonia Barry.
This event is free and open to the public. There will be time for book signing and questions after the presentation.
Barry is the author of the best-selling novels, The Lace Reader and The Map of True Places. Both books are set in Salem, Mass., the town famous for the Salem witch trials.
The Lace Reader began its literary life as a self-published novel, achieved local success and gained critical notice. This eventually led to a multi-million dollar book deal for Barry, and the novel became a New York Times bestseller. A film deal is now in the works.
Launched in 2001-02, Wings of Knowledge is an annual series of cultural events presented by the college. All events are free and open to the public. The series supports and expands upon NHTI’s wide variety of academic offerings, and is another element in the college’s expanding community college mission.
