Classic Concord Photo – Tue, 12 Nov 2013

This week’s classic Concord photo comes to us from faithful reader – and WKXL radio host – Paul Brogan, and features a challenge for all of you local Concord historians. The photo depicts the giant spire that used to stand outside the Unitarian Universalist Church on Pleasant Street, a spire that vanished some time ago. Brogan said he’d heard various tales of its disappearance, including those who claim it blew away in a wind storm, but we don’t know the official story. Do you? Let us know by emailing us at news@theconcordinsider.com and we’ll share the knowledge with everyone else. Also, if you happen to have the spire in your basement and are planning on putting it on top of your Christmas tree this year. we suggest you just bring it back.
