The scene was crazy during Concord’s 34-27 win over Bedford in a battle of unbeatens, drawing what Monitor sports editor Sandy Smith called the most boisterous crowd she’s seen at a Concord High game since 2004. Media was out in full force, with New Hampshire Chronicle on hand to film a feature – in front of a monster crowd and dancing cheerleaders.
The players get to wear shorts – as well as those awesome mesh pinnies from gym class – while getting their reps in.

It wouldn’t be much of a game without a field to play it on. Tom “Kite” Wright takes care of that, lining the grass a few days ahead of time. Here, he mixes some of the roughly 40 gallons required to paint the field each week.
