Hungry? There’s Pop Tarts in the pantry. If that doesn’t satisfy you, consider this: the 8th annual Taste of Concord event is coming up Oct. 10 at the Grappone Conference Center.
The event, which supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Concord, will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will feature the following:
∎ 35 great restaurants and businesses
∎ Live music
∎ Raffles
∎ Silent auction
∎ Top Chef Competition – Who will be this year’s Top Slider Chef?
In regards to the latter, the competition should be fierce – and delicious! The annual slider battle is not to be missed, and this year features some mouth-watering options.
The entries are: The Barley House ( BBQ beef brisket slider), Cheers (chicken and waffle slider), Common Man (crab cake slider), Granite Restaurant & Bar (cider braised chicken slider), Hungry Buffalo (roast bison slider), Makris (Maine shrimp salad slider), O Steak and Seafood (candy beef brisket with pork belly slider), Tandy’s Top Shelf (Cuban flatbread slider), The Red Blazer (chicken parmesan slider), and Washington St. Cafe (gyro pita roll slider).
