The Mill Brook Gallery & Sculpture Garden will unveil its 16th annual Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit, showcasing 33 sculptors from New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont and New York. The gallery is one of New England’s leading venues for outdoor sculpture.
Michael Alfano’s “Running Wheel,” one of the sculptures on display, features 26 different running shoes representing the 26 miles of the Boston Marathon, which he has participated in several times.
Other works include those by New Hampshire’s John Weidman, who has sculptures in Ukraine, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, and three sculptures in Vietnam, all completed while he was a resident artist in each country, and Leslie Fry, who has had shows in South Korea, Austria, Venezuela, Mexico, and several locations in the United States.
The gallery will run from June 21 to Nov. 2, with an opening reception June 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. that will include a garden party and music by Sylvia Miskoe and Bruce Cobb.
