These tasty granola bars will sustain you on the trail – and they’re easy to make, too! Forget about those store-bought bars, readers.

Homemade Crunchy Granola Bars
Wet ingredients:
∎ 6 tbs. butter (sub 3 tbs. coconut oil for a healthier version)
∎ 1/3 cup brown sugar
∎ 3 tbs. honey

Dry ingredients:
∎ 2 cups rolled oats
∎ 1/4 cup raisins
∎ 1/4 cup craisins
∎ 1 tbs. chia seeds
∎ 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
∎ 1/4 cup shaved coconut
∎ 1/4 cup chocolate chips
∎ A dash of sea salt

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Toast pumpkin seeds and shaved coconut in a pan. Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Melt wet ingredients in a sauce pan, pour into bowl of dry ingredients and mix. Spread onto foil-lined baking pan and cook for 30 minutes or until top begins to brown. Slice into bars and enjoy!
You can tweak this recipe however you like to get your favorite granola ingredients in the mix. Add some peanut butter for a delicious adhesive if you wish.
