Organists Jennifer McPherson and Katelyn Emerson will perform music of the masters June 2 at 3 p.m. at First Church of Christ, Scientist, 33 School St. This event is free and open to the public. For more information please call 424-4743.
Sponsored by the New Hampshire Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, the hour-long program will feature performances by two recent graduates of the New Hampshire Seacoast Young Organists Collaborative.
McPherson, now a student of James David Christie (Boston Symphony organist) and Organ Scholar at Holy Cross College in Worcester, Mass., is the first place winner of the Boston Chapters 2013 Quimby Regional Competition for young organists recently held at Old South Church.
Emerson, former student of Dr. Abby Siegfried, is now studying organ performance at Oberlin College.
