Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association is offering a free presentation “Memory Loss & Aging – When Should I Be Concerned” on June 13 from noon to 1 p.m. as part of the Lunch and Learn Series at Presidential Oaks, 200 Pleasant St.
All of us have probably experienced occasional episodes of forgetfulness; however there are differences between typical age-related forgetfulness and dementia-related illness. The Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association also offers monthly walk-in immunization clinics for children and adults who are uninsured, underserved, and who have no access to these needed services in order to lead a healthy lifestyle. June clinics are June 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. and June 18 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Outreach Center, 21 Centre St. A fee of $10 is requested per person. The Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association is also holding a free monthly walk-in blood pressure clinic June 7 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Concord Parks and Recreation (formerly Dame School), 14 Canterbury Rd. Blood pressure screenings are a good way for inpiduals to track their blood pressure for upcoming visits to their physician. The Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association is also offering men’s grief discussion groups June 13 and June 27 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Concord Regional VNA Hospice House. The ongoing drop-in grief discussion groups are designed to help men after a significant loss.
