Audiences can prepare to be both scared and thrilled as students of the Concord High School Film Society present their 2013 Film Festival May 29. The festival will feature a horror theme.
The festival, which is happening in the Concord High School auditorium at 170 Warren St, begins at 6 p.m. But ticket buyers beware . . . since the theme is of a frightening nature, children under the age of 13 can only enter in the presence of someone 17 or older.
Organized by the Concord High Film Society, and directed by Pedro Pimentel, the festival is sponsored by HFPI Films and Concord Community TV.
“We’ll be featuring iconic scenes from famous horror films, a live presentation by Concord High School students, and, of course, the film made by not only young filmmakers but other film lovers from around the state . . . and the world,” Pimentel said.
Short films from the UK team of filmmakers “Bloodycuts” will also be featuring two of their videos at the event.
The goal of the Concord High School Film Festival is to promote independent filmmaking in of New Hampshire. Young filmmakers who belong to the school’s film society have been working for months on the project. Attendees are guaranteed to enjoy a most amazing and interactive style of filmmaking.
Tickets, which are $3 for students/teachers and $5 for adults, will be sold only at the event, starting at 5 p.m. in front of the CHS Auditorium.
