Granite State Roller Derby kicks off its season at home at the Everett Arena on April 27, introducing a pair of expansion squads to the audience.
Newly-formed teams, the Fighting Finches and Demolition Dames, will square off in the first bout at 5 p.m., followed by the Legislashers – Granite State’s flagship team – vs. Mass Attack Roller Derby in the headliner at 6 p.m. Doors will open at 4 p.m.
The event will feature a 50/50 drawing to benefit the Concord YMCA. Bring rolls of toilet paper to donate and receive one 50/50 ticket per roll. Halftime entertainment will feature a demonstration by the Spank Alley Skate Team.
Advance tickets are two for $15 for adults. Season passes are also available for $20 and include a ticket to each of four home matches, game programs and 10 percent off all GSRD merchandise at the game. Children 10 and under are free.
Advance tickets can be purchased online at granitestate rollerderby.com or brownpapertickets.com, or at Spank Alley Skate & Board Shop (upstairs at 8 N. Main St.), Concord Headlines (216 S. Main St.) and Arnie’s Place (164 Loudon Road). Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
There will be an after party at Chen Yang Li in Bow, and fans are invited to meet the skaters.
