Yoga 4 Classrooms offers a one-day professional development workshop at the New Hampshire Audubon to classroom teachers, administrators, school counselors, physical education teachers, therapists and others seeking to bring simple yoga and mindfulness techniques into the classroom.
The six-hour interactive workshop will be held Feb. 18 at the New Hampshire Audubon, 3 Silk Farm Road. It is open to school administrators, classroom teachers, school counselors, special education teachers and paraprofessionals, physical education teachers, school counselors, health educators, speech and occupational therapists and others working with children in a school setting.
The cost of the workshop is $180 and includes a full-color, 230 page, illustrated Yoga 4 Classrooms manual. The related Y4C Activity Card Deck will be available for purchase. Workshop is valid for PDPs and /or CEUs from your credentialing organization (with approval), and Continuing Education Training Hours through Yoga Alliance for registered yoga teachers.
Yoga 4 Classrooms is a low-cost, simple, effective and sustainable program designed for use in the classrooms. Y4C is focused on social, emotional, and attentional self-regulation, grounded in yogic practices and developed to systematically cultivate well-being, resilience and lifelong learning. Y4C is focused on educating the whole child- mind, body and spirit. Y4C curriculum includes a mix of yoga postures, brain boosting movements, breath exercises, visualizations, mindfulness activities, creative movement and community-building games, which facilitate students’ physical, mental, emotional and social personal growth and address anti-bullying, health and wellness, and character education.
