Below, Richardson examines a painting purchased by Bruce and Nancy Packard. Bruce was stationed in Germany while in the army, and several German artists used to display paintings at the barracks for soldiers to see. Because the artist is unknown, Richardson estimated it would sell for between $100 and $150 but encouraged the Packards to hang on to it.
McGowan Fine Art held a free Appraisal and Assessment Day on Friday, with Martha Richardson venturing up from Boston to offer free appraisals of art pieces. Dozens of people came from near and far to have items assessed.
