The winter months can be a challenging time for blood collection, particularly during the holidays. Hectic holiday schedules, inclement weather and school vacations can result in lower donor turnout. But while donors’ schedules change, the need for blood remains constant. This holiday season, consider giving something that means something . . . donate blood. For the month of December, presenting donors will receive a coupon for a free six-inch sub at any participating SUBWAY® Restaurant.

∎ Dec. 26: St. John’s Activity Center, 72 S. Main St. Sponsored by Concord Community. Donor hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
