We warned you that last week’s classic Concord photo was going to be a tough one, but even we didn’t know how tough it would be. Turns out, the photo (which we saw at Depot Antique & Toys) was mislabeled – that building isn’t even in Concord! Eagle-eyed reader (and former Concord resident) Dan Cleveland recognized it right away. Cleveland told us he was on the Concord High School chess team (class of ‘66!) and that, as the best public high school chess team in New England, they often found themselves travelling to various prep schools for matches. One such school was Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass. – home of the building seen above, which was called the Fifth Main Academy Building. Good work, Dan! Check back next week for another classic photo.
