Families in Transition is hosting the “Wicked FIT Run,” a family-friendly 5K run/walk dedicated to chasing away homelessness in New Hampshire. The event will be held on Oct. 27 starting at 9 a.m. at Rollins Park. Proceeds from the Wicked FIT Run will go towards helping FIT provide housing and services to homeless families and inpiduals in Concord and Manchester.
There will also be a free shorter kids run and activities. Halloween costumes are strongly encouraged and prizes will be awarded in many categories, including the best inpidual and themed team costume.
The first 200 people to register for the Wicked FIT Run will receive a free T-shirt. Pre-event registration ends Oct. 25. Registration for the 5K is $25 for adults 20 and older and $15 for youth 13-19. The 5K and kids race are free for children 12 and under. To register, volunteer, sponsor or to get more information, go to fitnh.org/wickedfitrun or call 641-9441, ext. 242.
