Coming this September to the Concord YMCA will be Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance, Stability and Health.
The class is a set of sensory-motor therapeutic exercises designed for older adults to enhance their balance and performance of daily functional activities. This is an evidence-based fall prevention program for older adults and is a 12-week program. Testing will be done at the beginning of the program and then again at the end so you can see your progress.
Learn more about this program at our two free introduction seminars: Aug. 21 at 11 a.m. or Aug. 22 at 6:30 p.m. Register at the Y's Welcome Center or call 228-9622. Class will be held twice a week for a 12-week period and will be held Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Cost is $54 for members, $120 for program members and $185 for community members.
This program is being made available to anyone in our community. Do you know anyone, a parent or senior friend who may benefit from this program? You do not need to have a Y Membership to participate.
