Downtown Concord will be transformed into a wonderland Friday during Midsummer Night Magic! Concord's annual solstice event is back. Here's what will be going down during the event:
- 5 p.m.: Multicultural Festival opens
- 5:30 p.m.: Gathering begins on Capitol Street. Follow the sound of the drums!
- Arabalon Drummers or Chinese Dragon performance
- Costume Embellishing with NHTI Volunteers
- Friesian Horses
- Face Painting with Cedar
- 5:15 p.m.: Opening remarks with Governor Lynch and/ or Senator Sylvia Larsen
- 5:30 p.m.: Caravan Kick-off performance
- Aerialist in Eagle Square
- 5:45 p.m.: Parade/caravan from Capitol Street to Bicentennial Square, led by Ringmaster Andrew Hatch
- “Behind the Mask Troupe”
- No Monkey Business Costumed Dogs
- Concord Community Music School Kazoophony
- Community Percussion
- 6:00 p.m.: Performance in Bicentennial Square: Artfest Live performers
- 6:30 p.m.: Family-friendly music from Una Jensen Band
- 7:45 p.m.: Family-friendly music from The Projection
- 8:30 p.m.: Gathering for the movie in Eagle Square
