Each week, City Manager Tom Aspell lies down in his backyard and applies sunscreen in a pattern much like a city memo. He gets some sun, then shows up at our office and delivers the memo, written out on some nice stationary. What, you thought he tanned it into his chest? He's not crazy, folks!

This week, the contractor will commence replacement of the existing storm sewer in North State Street, from Palm Street to McGuire Street, Aspell writes. And then there's this from Mr. Aspell, sure to have commuters crying in their thermal mugs of mochalattechinofrappe: travel will be restricted to a single lane during hours of operation, typically 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Delays are to be expected. You know what that means, right? More time to listen to your favorite songs on the radio!

In preparation for the Northeast Delta Dental International Golf Tournament, which will take place at Beaver Meadow from July 20- 22, LPGA Agronomist John Miller made a site visit to Beaver Meadow on June 9, Aspell writes. (His co-worker's names were withheld as they chose to remain agronymous). Miller found all areas of concern for the LPGA had been addressed.
