A preview of spring courses offered by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute of Granite State College will be presented on Feb. 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the Pleasant View Retirement Center. Instructors will give a brief description of the courses they will be teaching. At 2:30 p.m., those attending can register for the courses while having refreshments provided by the Pleasant View Retirement Center.
Some of the spring courses will include the following: “Computers: Beyond E-Mail,” “Franklin Pierce,” “A Tour of Concord's Stained Glass Windows,” “Economic Outlook for 2012-13,” “The Paleoindians of NH,” “Intermediate Bridge,” “Refugees' Journeys to the Granite State,” “Tai Chi 101,” “Zentangle” and “A Walk through North Cemetery.”
OLLI at GSC is an educational program for persons 50 years of age or older and is one of 118 OLLIs at colleges and universities nationwide, all initially grant-funded by the Bernard Osher Foundation. Classes are led by teachers and community leaders who enjoy sharing their expertise with others.
