The Concord Arts Market will be host to a rest area for breastfeeding mothers. The rest area will offer comfortable chairs, nursing pillows, free water and herbal tea, and a welcoming place for mothers to stop and feed their babies and toddlers.
The World Health Organization recommends that babies should be breastfeed for at least the first two years of life, and New Hampshire law states that “breastfeeding does not constitute indecent exposure and that limiting or restricting a mother's right to breastfeed is discriminatory.”
The Concord Arts Market will be held in Bicentennial Square in downtown Concord on Oct. 8, 15, 22, and 28 from 9 a.m to 3 p.m.
