Model search is on

Do you know any girls who would like to be fashion models? The Junior Service League of Concord is currently seeking between 80 to 100 elementary school aged girls to hit the runway for charity in its seventh annual American Girl Fashion Show in November. The amateur models will participate in performances the weekend of Nov. 5-6 at the Capitol Center for the Arts in a popular event that combines history, dolls, and fashion.

Participating provides girls with a chance for “make believe” to become reality, as well as an opportunity to perform a community service. The annual fashion show is the JSL's largest fundraiser. Each year through its fundraising efforts, the nonprofit organization is able to disburse between $25, 000 to $30,000 to greater Concord area service organizations helping families in crisis.

More details and an application to participate as a model are available at jslconcord.org. Applications are due Sept. 16.
